Our little garden is well on it’s way! It’s at Jamison’s house, so it’s always really exciting when I go over to visit and get to see how much it’s grown. It’s sort of become my baby, in a very strange way. I think it’s safe to speak for both of us when I say that it’s pretty great to see the fruits of your labour grow right before your eyes. There’s just something about it.
This week I planted some sunflowers- my favourite kind! I think I’m actually most excited to see those come through the ground and become something beautiful.
First sign of life! The spinach is breaking through the dirt.
About a month ago, Jamison and I created a list of things to do this summer. This list includes: various hikes around the Fraser Valley; getting ice cream as often as possible; cliff jumping; see a movie at the drive-in in Langley; mini-golf!
Planting a garden wasn’t on the original list, but now it’s become my summer project, and I’m going to blog the process-just for fun!
Got my blogging sweater!
I brought Jamison to the airport this morning; I did some shopping; now I’m sitting on my couch watching the Jonsi ’ Go Live’ DVD that Jamison got me for Christmas. Other than the ride down to Sea-Tac, and a few brief conversations with different cashiers, I’ve spent the day with my own thoughts to keep me company.
Being an textbook over-thinker, I don’t often give my thoughts much credit for being good company, but not tonight. Tonight, I am feeling great! Knowing that my love is having the time of his life doing what he loves more than anything; knowing that I will be moving into my new home this week; and knowing beyond anything that I was I am here for a purpose greater than my own.
A nice unofficial video for the new Two Bicycles single.
I love that I can honestly say that I love this music, and not have to lie just because I’m dating the guy that makes it.
Contemplating a good day
Missing someone, I feel, can be one of the most beautiful things. To feel like even just one day without them feels off, if even just a little bit. As if their presence alone somehow makes everything else a little bit better.
It’s been a good day.
This record has been putting me to sleep all week. You should try letting it put you to sleep; you won’t regret it!
Here goes nothing!
The idea to write about the beauty I see in everyday life came to me last summer. I thought this would be a good way to start looking at life in a more positive, hopeful way. That only lasted a few weeks, so for the new year, I am challenging myself to keep up with a blog, and forcing myself to get over my insecurities about writing.
So I guess I’m a blogger now! Better get my blogging sweater out of the closet and find something pretty to write about!
